Hey homeschooling mom!
Homeschooling is something that you do each and every day. It is easy to slip into a stale and boring state when you do the same things over and over.
What if I told you that you do not have to continue homeschooling without having any fun?
It is true! You can start having more fun with your homeschool journey right now. I have three ways for you to make homeschooling more fun!
3 Ways to Make Homeschooling More Fun
1. Cut out busy work
When you are scheduling your school day or are buying curriculum it is super easy to get caught up in the more is better mindset. You buy a box curriculum, oodles of workbooks, and online learning programs. Sure those things work and can be great for some families, but if you are finding that your days are getting monotonous, it is time to put the busy work away. My idea? Notebooking! When you put away the busy work and pull out notebooking you are opening up a world of possibilities. Notebooking is not a boxed in idea. In fact you can use it many ways. Our favorite thing to do with our notebooking pages is to watch videos and read books about the topic we have selected and then write down what we have learned in our notebooking page. We then file them away in binders so we can go back and look them over time after time. You can get FREE notebooking pages HERE
2. Hands On Projects
When you put away pencils and notebooks and bring out the projects fun is a given! Who doesn’t love working on a science experiment, a lapbook, or a fun craft. If you have no idea where to get started just go to Pinterest! There are tons of great ideas awaiting you in the feed. Make sure you follow us because we are posting new ideas each and every day!
3. Child Led Learning
Ask your children what they would like to be covering in school. Find out what they think would make school more fun. Then BINGO! Once you know what they enjoy you can work that into your days more and more. Now, don’t misunderstand me. You do not need to put away all of the books and cater to their desires. (Make sure that you are still doing reading, math, writing, and English each day.) Just work in a few of the fun things they enjoy a week and you are sure to have more fun with your school day.
So, now that you have a few ideas on how to make homeschooling more fun, I would love to hear what it is you do.
