Welcome to this week’s
Washed Up Inspired Wednesday! I am so glad to have you here! Make sure to head over to A Nest in the Rocks to check out her post for the day!
Let me inspire you:
2 C self rising flour
1/4 C shortning
3/4 C sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 – 2 C Milk (this will vary each time)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (use more or less depending on taste) + a dash
2 Tbs melted butter or margarine
Heat over to 450* – Combine flour and shortning and garlic powder until you have pea sized crumbles. I use a fork to accomplish this. Stir in the cheese. Add in milk. Spoon onto a cookie sheet and bake for 8-12 mins, until golden brown and cooked through. Mix the dash of garlic and butter. Brush over the biscuits and allow to absorb for about 1 minute. Serve warm from the oven.
This is a family favorite. We have it with Italian dishes and with some of our comfort foods. They are yummy!
