Quick Facts about Groundhogs Color and Copywork

Groundhog day is coming quickly and if you are like me, you haven’t given it much thought.

I mean, how can you really do a lot of teaching about the day that a rodent pops out of a hole and tells us (figuratively, of course) wheather or not spring is coming.

This fun tradition started in 1887 in by Clymer H. Freas was the editor of the local paper Punxsutawney Spirit.  The largest Groundhog Day celebration is held in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, with the groundhog affectionately named, Punxsutawney Phil.
