Inspired Wendesday – The B.I.G 3-0

Welcome to Washed Up Inspired Wednesday!  Did you get here last week?  If not go check out what others linked up here on my blog and over at A Nest in the Rocks as well.

 Let Me Inspire You:

It was the first of July and my hubby kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday.  I knew it was approaching fast, August 4.

There was really nothing that I wanted.  I racked my brain and pondered for days and finally came up with a blue-tooth keyboard for the iPad.  We found one on sale and it was done.  I was thrilled with my new toy and content.  I figured we would go get dinner on my birthday and have a piece of cake.

Hubby came in early on my birthday morning and told me to rest.  He would get me up in a bit but not to worry about the kids.  How nice, right?  I got a morning off.  This isn’t really out of the ordinary.  He is great about helping with them on weekends so I can sleep and have a break.

Around 10 he got me up, ordered that I get dressed and come upstairs to go over sales papers.  We were going to hit the back-to-school sales.  YAY!!!  It is my favorite time of the year.  I like it more than Christmas shopping.  No, really!  I do!

I did as ordered, dressed and stepped up stairs.  Look what I found…

I cried – like a baby!!!  It was probably the sweetest thing that anyone has ever done for me!  He said he just wanted me to feel special on my birthday.  I did!  Thirty will go down as one of the greatest birthdays I have ever had.  He made turning 30 such a great thing.  My day was full of smiles, laughter, and joy.  Who could ask for more?

Feature from last week:

Praying with your Children by Thoughts on Books – a great read about how important it is that we pray not only for our children but with them.  I encourage you to read this article and be inspired!
