Chronic Illness is hard. It is often an invisible disease that no one else can see, but we can feel.
When we are dealing with chronic illness it is easy to be wrapped up in pity-parties and endless circles of feeling sorry for ourselves. After all, those who are on the outside looking in just don’t “get it”.
You aren’t alone!
Statistics show that 45% of the adult population suffers from sort of chronic illness.
Dealing with daily life…
You put on a smile and try to show the world that you are “okay.” The reality is that you are far from okay. You are likely in lots of pain and emotional stress.
Your family wants to help but you do not even know what to tell them you need. If you knew what you needed you’d be able to help yourself. Am I right?
Even though many chronic illnesses are not curable, I have some scripture that you can pray for yourself that you will find helpful!
Scripture for Moms Battling Chronic Illness
Exodus 23:25 – Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
Deuteronomy 7:15 – “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.”
Psalm 6:2 – Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.
Proverbs 17:22 – A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Isaiah 38:16 – Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!
Isaiah 53:5 – But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
Jeremiah 17:14 – Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.
Psalm 107:20 – He sent out His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Luke 13:13 – And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.
Do you need more encouragement?
I have created scripture cards, designed to fit in your pocket on a clip ring.
It is my true desire that you feel renewed and somewhat “better” after going through these verses. When God created us it was in His image. He wan’ts us to lead full lives whole and healed. And while some of us may never be 100 % healthy in our flesh, we know that when we pass from this world we will be cured!
There are many ways to use this tool. Print the cards off, cut them apart, and tape them around your home as a constant reminder. Laminate the cards and keep them close at hand so you can see them when you are troubled. Go one step further and punch a hole in the laminated cards and attach them together with a jump ring. This allows you to throw them in your bag and carry them with you wherever you go.
