The Loom

This is the tools needed to ease the rubber looming. Some people choose doing this art without the loom, but it must be much harder. There are some kinds of loom qualities. To choose the product, it is better to check the blue plastic base and the transparent pillars. It is better to purchase the loom and the hook in a set from a trusted store. We once purchased from an unknown online store with cheap price and it was broken easily.

The hook

Here is the hook used to take or flip the rubber band stretched on the loom. Use the hook carefully so that it is not going to be easily broken. Don’t live your toddlers or any younger kids when they use this tool as the tip is very fragile and kids might use it for inappropriate toy purposely or not purposely.

Rubber bands

There are huge varieties of rubber band  types and colors that can be purchased in Amazon or any other store selling the Rainbow Loom kits. Some random colors of rubber bands are usually available altogether with the Rainbow Loom sets.

We put those rubber bands in a blocked plastic containers to ease us choosing the right colors that we need. Some store sell the plastic container and the rubber bands as a package, but other stores require customers to purchase the container and the rubber bands separately.

Clip

Clip is used to assemble the art product into certain jewellery so that it will be tidily bound. You might purchase it in sets or separated bundle.

Although kids are boys, they make some models of bracelets with girly designs for their friends and cousins. They feel very happy by giving their work to others.

People usually make bracelets with Rainbow Loom, but some people can make necklace, charm, and ring using this tool. My sons like trying to make different types and colors of bracelets. My eldest starts to make some pencil grips and more complicated charms. I thank my youngest sister a lot for her kindness guiding my sons to do Rainbow Loom arts with her.

I really like kids do some arts with Rainbow Loom. I believe they do and so do other parents.

1. By doing arts with Rainbow Loom, they have a sense of being care to others.
2. At the same time they can train their motoric skills by playing around their hands with the colorful mini rubber bands.
3. The most important thing, my sons forget the electronic gadgets and television without my supervision.
4. Sitting together with their cousins while crafting, my sons can communicate well with each other and with their cousins.
5. Beside training their creativity, using Rainbow Loom can challenge their concentration to follow the instruction of repeated patterns.
6. Kids are interested to sell their products to get some pocket money. I am surprised a lot by this intention.
