What Do You Need to Teach Biology

Share with your friends!

So you are going to teach biology?  It doesn’t have to be daunting or scary.  In fact, teaching biology can be fun and rewarding.  I am going to give you a list of things that you need to be able to teach biology and actually enjoy it!

What do you need to teach biology

1. Christian Kids Explore Creation Biology:  I love this book.  It breaks down biology into bite size chunks so that you are able to teach your children all about the world our God created.  This book is geared for grades 3-6 but can be taught up or down depending on your child’s learning ability.

BIP-06-374x4902. 3 Ring Binder: When starting this program I encourage you to start a notebook.  You can read how I set mine up here.

3. Supplements: I highly recommend getting this supplement pack to help you go through the book easily.  It has coloring pages, tests, quizzes, diagrams, and other great things.  It is worth the investment and at under $10 you can’t go wrong.

That is it!  You will get lists of materials needed for experiments and such within each lesson.  Those lists make my life (and yours) much easier.  I just go through the next weeks lessons and make note of each item I need that I don’t have on hand and gather them.  Most of the time the items are things that I normally have on hand.  We enjoy the experiments and extra lessons.  It drives what we just read home.  If that isn’t your thing, you can skip it!  That is another great aspect of this curriculum.

The most important thing to remember is that you need to have fun!  If you enjoy teaching it, they will enjoy learning!
