Today, I want to share with you how to make this simple, adorable, burlap door hanging!
What you will need:
- Burlap
- Black Sharpie
- Quilting hoop (these come in many different sizes, so just measure your door to see how big you want yours to be)
- Black paint
- Foam paint brush
- Stencil for your initial. (I used my Silhouette Cameo to make mine)
- old newspaper or scrap paper (to paint on)
Step One:
Paint your hoop with the black paint. I tried using mine with the natural wood, but I really like how the black paint made it pop!
Step Two:
Stretch your burlap on to your quilting hoop (after it has dried).
Step Three:
Lay your stencil over the center of your burlap. Using the sharpie….COLOR it in! Really, its that simple! (LIKE THIS)
TA-DA! You are all done!!!!
Now you have a Simple, Frugal, Beautiful Door Decor for Fall!
These make great gifts!
I also think they would make super cute ornaments if you used the small hoops (like a 4 inch).
You can see a table runner I created HERE using this same method.
I hope you will enjoy trying this fun project!
