Fall is my favorite season of the year. I love the changing colors, the cooler temperatures and of course, the beautiful sunsets that come with this time of year. We seem to spend more time outside when the weather is cooler and enjoy taking walks with our kids on our town’s trail.
As a ministry family, life gets crazy around here. So this year I decided to be more intentional in not only our homeschooling activities, but also our family activities. I decided we were going to do more active and outdoor things during our school days when the weather permitted. And I also wanted us to do things as a family to help us enjoy our time together and learn more about our kids as we spent time with them away from the television and games at home and watched them interact with nature and each other.
What started out as a fun list of things to do, it quickly became so much more and I decided to make some fun Fall Bucket List printables to hang in a place we would all see it. I began by asking the kids some of the things they would like to do this fall, which I compiled and then scaled it down to a doable list for our family.
Then I decided if we were going on walks, we needed to make them fun and spice things up with a Fall Scavenger Hunt for the kids. My oldest can read on his own, but the little ones are still learning, so I created two sets – one with just words and one with pictures and words.
Finally, I absolutely love to put up fun artwork in our house – especially when it’s seasonal. I love decorating for Fall and bringing some of those vibrant colors God paints the world with this time of year into our home. So I created some Fall Subway artwork in 3 different colors schemes.
