We are LOVING using Bright Ideas Press Christian Kids Explore Biology!
Several weeks ago S completed the animal cell project! We made the cell with things we had on hand. Gelatin, noodles, beans, and sprinkles. The book suggested you “enjoy” your project when it was completed but we decided against it! Being part of the ambassador team for this book has been awesome! S and I love each lesson that we have gotten to so far!
S loved it because it was FUN! There is nothing that is more fun to most children than having your hands involved in science. She was able to measure the ingredients, place them herself, and construct the entire cell with little help. She used the text book as a guide but ended up making it her own. Isn’t that what it is all about?
I loved it because it was not over the top. The lesson was short, sweet, and to the point. She wasn’t made to memorize all of the parts of the cell. She was just gently introduced to the concept, which is perfect for a 3rd grader.
So far choosing BIP Christian Kids Explore Biology has proven to be one of the BEST decisions we have made this school year. We enjoy each lesson and look forward to the next!
