Welcome back to our Confessions series. I am so glad you stopped by.
Today I am going to talk to you about something that I feel absolutely no guilt about at all! Not even gonna lie!
When I started homeschooling my children I had no idea the amount of curriculum that was out there. Not just the sheer amount of curriculum but the many, many ways that it is available. You can get curriculum in book form, digital form, and online classes. You can buy things from writing to drawing to how to program a computer. There is literally something out there for any need you may have. And can I tell you that I have a lot. When I say a lot I mean A LOT of curriculum. Some would say I am a junkie. Others may call me a hoarder. I call it collecting. Yes, I collect curriculum.
Some of our favorite things to do is copywork, notebooking, and lapbooks. That means that I have collected a lot of digital curriculum over the years. When I say a lot I mean that I have so many files it would take years for us to cover all of the different products I have collected over the years. When I see that there are things up for grabs on some of my favorite freebies sites I make sure and grab them up. When I see that my favorite publishers have things for sale I grab them up. I love including my children in these purchases. I get their opinions on what it is that they want to study and then together we go through my purchases and pick out what we are going to study next. This has truly helped us with the arguing and grumbling of homeschool.
Add to our vast collection of digital curriculum I have box after box and shelf after shelf of different curriculum that we have used or will use over the years. It is likely that I should pair some of it down but I am not a place in life where I can do that right now!
Are you a curriculum junkie too?
